Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Dolpho, Inc. (“Dolpho,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Dolpho platform (dolpho.net).
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: Email address, username, password, profile information (display name, bio, avatar)
- Payment information:When you purchase Quarters or content, payment is processed by Stripe. Dolpho does not store your credit card number. Stripe’s handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Creator information: If you apply for a creator account, we collect your legal name and banking information (via Stripe Connect) for payout purposes.
- Content you create: Reviews, comments, lists, diary entries, messages, and other user-generated content.
Information Collected Automatically
- Watch activity: What you watch, when you watch it, and how much you watch (watch progress, completion rates).
- Purchase history: Content you have purchased, Quarters transactions, and refund history.
- Platform activity: Likes, follows, list additions, log entries, and other interactions.
- Device and connection information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and general location (city/region level, not precise location). We use this for security, fraud prevention, and platform performance.
Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect precise geolocation data.
- We do not collect biometric data.
- We do not access your device’s contacts, camera, or microphone.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Operate the platform: Process purchases, deliver content, manage accounts, handle refunds.
- Personalize your experience: Show relevant recommendations, populate your activity feed with content from people you follow, display your watch history and stats.
- Provide creator analytics: Share aggregated, anonymized viewing data with creators (total views, watch completion, revenue). We do not share individual viewer identities with creators.
- Communicate with you: Send purchase confirmations, payout notifications, account alerts, and platform updates. We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in. If you opt in (for example, by checking the marketing box at checkout), we add your email to our marketing audience, hosted by Resend, so we can tell you about new drops, films, and worlds. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email at any time.
- Advertising and retargeting:Measure the performance of our ads and show you relevant ads for Dolpho on third-party platforms (Meta, Google, and TikTok). See “What We Share” below for how this works and “Your Privacy Choices” for how to opt out.
- Improve the platform: Analyze usage patterns to improve features, fix bugs, and develop new functionality.
- Plan releases and screenings: Analyze general, region-level location (country, region, and city, derived from your IP address) in aggregate to understand where our audience is concentrated and plan screenings, events, and content releases. This is coarse, aggregate analysis only. We do not use precise geolocation.
- Prevent fraud and abuse: Detect and prevent unauthorized access, fraudulent transactions, and terms violations.
3. What We Share
We Do Not Sell Your Data for Money
Dolpho does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for money. We do share certain online identifiers with advertising platforms so we can measure our ads and reach people who may be interested in Dolpho. Under some privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA), this kind of cross-context behavioral advertising is treated as “sharing” or a “sale” of personal information even when no money changes hands. You can opt out at any time. See Your Privacy Choices.
Advertising and Measurement Partners
When advertising pixels are active, we share limited information with these platforms so we can measure conversions and show relevant ads:
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): Meta Pixel and Conversions API.
- Google: Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads.
- TikTok: TikTok Pixel.
The categories of information shared with these partners are online identifiers (cookie and device identifiers), IP address, general region-level location, and your activity on Dolpho such as pages viewed, items added to cart, and purchases (including order value). We do not share your name, and payment card numbers are never shared with advertising partners. For purchases, we may send a one-way hashed (irreversible) version of your email to Meta so a single conversion can be matched and counted once.
These pixels are off by default in the EU, UK, EEA, and Switzerland until you accept them, and they are off everywhere if you opt out or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. See Your Privacy Choices.
Service Providers
We share limited information with service providers who help us operate the platform:
- Stripe: Payment processing. Receives payment and banking information necessary to process transactions.
- Mux: Video hosting and streaming. Receives video content and anonymous playback data for delivery and analytics.
- Supabase: Database and authentication infrastructure. Hosts account and platform data.
- Vercel: Web hosting. Processes web requests and serves the platform.
- Resend: Email delivery. Receives email addresses for transactional emails (purchase confirmations, password resets) and, if you opt in, for our marketing audience.
These providers are contractually required to use your information only for the services they provide to us.
Creator Analytics
Creators see aggregated analytics about their content: total views, revenue, engagement metrics, and general audience demographics (where available). Creators cannot see individual viewer identities, specific watch histories, or personal information of viewers.
Exception: If you send a message to a creator, your username and message content are visible to that creator.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or if necessary to protect the safety of any person, prevent fraud, or protect Dolpho’s legal rights.

Cookies and Tracking
Dolpho uses essential cookies for authentication and core functionality. These cannot be turned off. We also use advertising and measurement cookies and similar technologies from Meta, Google, and TikTok to measure our ads and show you relevant ads for Dolpho (see “What We Share”).
In the EU, UK, EEA, and Switzerland, advertising and measurement cookies stay off until you accept them through our consent banner. Everywhere else they load by default, and you can opt out at any time. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out. To change your choice, see Your Privacy Choices.
7. Children’s Privacy
Dolpho is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive data, DRM content protection, and access controls for internal systems.
No security system is perfect. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will notify you of any breach that affects your personal information as required by law.
9. Your Privacy Choices
You control whether we load advertising and measurement pixels and share information for advertising. Use the control below to opt out (“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”) or to allow these cookies. Your choice is saved on the browser you set it on. We also automatically honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, so a browser or extension that sends GPC is treated as opted out.
Checking your current choice on this browser.
Your choice is saved on this browser. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal automatically. Essential cookies for sign-in and core functionality cannot be turned off.
Opting out here stops cross-context behavioral advertising sharing. It does not stop essential cookies or the coarse, aggregate analytics we use to operate and improve the platform.
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:
- Right to know: You can request information about what personal data we collect, use, and share.
- Right to delete: You can request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to correct: You can request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing:We do not sell your data for money, but our use of advertising pixels is considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out using the control above or by sending a Global Privacy Control signal.
- Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise these rights, contact support@dolpho.net.
10. International Users
