Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Dolpho (dolpho.net, operated by Dolpho, Inc.). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Dolpho

Dolpho is a premium video platform for independent creators. Creators upload and price their own content. Dolpho curates select content into a premium viewing experience. You can browse, purchase, watch, and engage with content and community features on the platform.

2. Accounts

Registration

You must create an account to purchase or watch content. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@dolpho.net if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Purchases & Pocket Change

Purchasing Content

Content on Dolpho is available for purchase on a per-item basis. Prices are set by creators (or by Dolpho for curated content) and displayed before purchase. All prices are in US dollars.

Pocket Change (Quarters)

Dolpho uses a platform currency called Quarters for microtransactions. One Quarter is worth $0.25. You can purchase Quarters in packs starting at $5.00 (20 Quarters).

Content priced under $4.00 requires Quarters. Content priced at $4.00 or above can be purchased with Quarters or directly via credit card.

Pocket Change Tab (Auto-Refill)

You may optionally enable a Pocket Change Tab, which automatically purchases Quarters when your balance is insufficient to complete a transaction. The minimum auto-refill amount is $5.00. You may disable or modify your Tab at any time.

Quarter Balances

Quarter balances are non-transferable between accounts and non-refundable except as required by applicable law. Quarters have no cash value outside the Dolpho platform. Quarters do not expire.

4. Rentals & Access

Rental Terms

When you purchase content, you receive a rental license to stream that content on the Dolpho platform. Rentals provide a 30-day window to start watching and a 72-hour viewing window once playback begins.

Rental licenses are personal and non-transferable. You may stream purchased content on any device where you are logged into your Dolpho account.

No Downloads

All content is streamed via DRM-protected delivery. You do not receive a downloadable copy of any content. You may not record, capture, download, or otherwise create copies of any content on the platform.

Content Availability

Dolpho does not guarantee perpetual availability of any content. Creators may remove their content at any time. If content you have purchased becomes unavailable during your active rental period, Dolpho will issue a refund in Quarters.

5. Refunds

72-Hour Refund Window

You may request a cash refund within 72 hours of purchase, regardless of whether you have watched the content. Refunds are processed to your original payment method.

After 72 Hours

After 72 hours, refunds are issued as Quarter credits to your Dolpho balance rather than cash. Dolpho may grant or deny post-72-hour refund requests at its discretion.

6. Community Features

Your Activity

Dolpho provides community features including watch logging, likes, reviews, lists, diary entries, activity feeds, and user profiles. Your activity (what you watch, like, and review) may be visible to other users through your profile and activity feed, depending on your privacy settings.

Reviews & Comments

You are responsible for content you post in reviews and comments. You agree not to post content that is illegal, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or infringing on others’ rights. Dolpho may remove user-generated content that violates these standards.

Messaging

Dolpho provides messaging features between viewers and creators, subject to gating requirements (such as having purchased or followed a creator’s content). Messages must comply with the same standards as reviews and comments.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with DRM or other content protection measures
• Record, download, screenshot, or redistribute any content from the platform
• Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or creators
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose

Violation of these prohibitions may result in account suspension or termination.

8. Intellectual Property

Platform Content

The Dolpho platform, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is owned by Dolpho, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws.

Creator Content

All creator content is owned by the respective creators. Your purchase of content grants you a limited rental license to stream — it does not transfer any ownership or intellectual property rights to you.

DMCA

Dolpho respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Dolpho infringes your copyright, contact support@dolpho.net with a DMCA takedown notice including: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, your contact information, and a statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized.

9. Privacy

Your use of Dolpho is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Disclaimers

Dolpho is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Creator content reflects the views and work of individual creators, not Dolpho. Dolpho is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or nature of creator content beyond enforcing its content standards.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dolpho’s total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you have paid to Dolpho in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Dolpho is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

12. Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your profile, watch history, and activity will be removed. Remaining Quarter balances are forfeited unless a refund is required by applicable law.

By Dolpho

Dolpho may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. In cases of serious violations, Dolpho may terminate immediately.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California. You agree to attempt informal resolution before pursuing legal action.

14. Changes to These Terms

Dolpho may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
